When the school closings started, the chain stores and grocery stores were PACKED with kids - mostly younger type mommies and 2-3 young kids, also both parents with kids - everybody having a BLAST, like it's all SpringBreak/Christmast/Summer!1

I tried calling the county hotline to say that the LIST of precautions all over the media were: Wash hands; 6 ft away; avoid crowds -------------BUT NOTHING ABOUT kids not taken to stores, school closings NOT a vacation.

The county employee acted like I was just a weird curmudgeon (I am but have a point).

What's the point of closing schools if the kids (parents) treat the stores like playgrounds?!1

while going to the grocery store.

In some states it's illegal to leave a kid under the age of 10 home alone.

While you weren't yourself addressing leaving them at home, that's the choice. Take them out or leave them home. Leaving them at home is not always a very good idea.

I'm guessing you never had kids of your own. Or if you did, you were never responsible for them 24/7.
