Just received a text from bff that a young friend in NOLA died this morning from Covid. He infected his 80 y/o grandmother who’s in critical condition.

I went to bed last night nearly in tears 😭 after reading of the prospects and projections. All I can do is pray. I wonder which of my friends or family will perish. I am putting my affairs in order with a sense of urgency.

Two friends this week have gone to funerals—one traveling out of town—and both reported that funeral homes only let in 10 at a time.

Talked to my only sister this morning. I said that if she, I or Mom died from this we would not even be able to say goodbye.

The evil of all of this is beyond criminal. We are targets of political annihilation.

3. My two daughters are far from me

I'm in Oregon. One is in Colorado, and the other is in NYC. I haven't been sleeping well, trying to figure out what I would do if either of them got sick. I cannot imagine just staying home and waiting to hear if they live or die. This is breaking my heart.

7. My brother passed away this morning

He had cancer and extreme damage from heart disease. Had three heart attacks on one day in early February and everyone was amazed when he was able to leave the hospital. Then last Tuesday he went back in with fever and chills. A test for corona virus was negative but he did have a infection from one of several potential sources. We knew he was likely not leaving the hospital again. He had suffered another massive heart attack between these two hospitalizations that no one knew of, and the damage was great.

Anyway, he will be cremated and there will be a service at some time in the future. I’m glad my family is not wanting to have a funeral right now.

He was in pain almost all the time and wouldn’t have liked what his future life would have been like, even though ha had an enormous will to live.
