But DirecTV has free Showtime and Cinemax for most of the week.
Nothing on there that grabs me, but your mileage may vary.

FWIW...amazon Prime Video offers free trials to various streaming providers. The good thing about is I have been able to test drive some sites thru amazon, instead of thru the other streaming site's, so no sign ups, account forms, etc. It is all done via amazon media player, one click.

I watch Acorn through my library card and didn't realize that my library offers Kanopy also. I just added it to my Roku list. We only get 4 movies per month, but that's still great.
