So what is the status of these two murky measures?

1. Is Donald considering simply allowing the disease to run its course, run amok with no federal assistance if the curve isn't flattened in his 15 day plan? Is that the threat he made today, rather obliquely? Is that why he demands that states manage their own response?

2. What's the actual status of the immediate stimulus payments to citizens? Yesterday morning we heard that debit cards would be issued to all Americans except the wealthy. By Sunday night there was no more talk of assistance to those in real need. Talk had shifted to bailouts for others.

I think he said he reevaluate. Seems prudent to re-evaluate periodically. Hoyt Mar 2020 #2

Nail their trousers to this mast of calloused idiocy so they can never, ever climb down.

Now, if he decides to do some counter to health experts, that’s different.

Last thing we need is locking into one plan with something this variable. Plus, doubt the first re-evaluation is going to change much, unless trump realizes he ain’t helping.
