Life Tabernacle Church (Baton Rouge) Hosts 1,800 For Sunday Service, In Face Of Shutdown Order

Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has made multiple moves in an attempt to limit the outbreak of COVID-19 across the state of Louisiana. Initially, the Governor closes schools and casinos (along with many other businesses) and limited gathering sizes to 50 people. That first order was met with some push back.

Then yesterday afternoon, the Governor moved up his order to a "Stay at Home" Order. Which further limited groups, and shut down more businesses. But the same day the Governor increased his order, a church service in Central, Louisiana defied all of his orders.

According to BRProud.com, The Life Tabernacle Church hosted 1,825 people at a Sunday morning service.

The report says that the church send more than 25 buses around the Baton Rouge area to pick up citizens and bring them to the service. The report goes on to say: "Throughout the service parishioners could be seen touching each other and closely gathering, very few wearing masks or gloves."

to do this because it might kill off a few of the parishioners, but the congregation will reach community inoculation early. And God gets to decide who lives and who dies.

S. Korea only has the numbers they do because of one defiant woman in a religious cult. Imagine 1,800 people doing that. This is why the US is in for a bumpy ride. Even here in the hot zone people can’t bring themselves to social distance for a few days.

The church is ultra conservative and is almost cuLtish. Women wear dresses and submit to their husbands. Children are to be seen and not heard. That number is about 25% higher than their normal turnout. They send the buses out to pick up kids for service, promising donuts and treats afterward. If you go 4 weeks in a row, you get entered into a drawing for a bike. This Sunday, a lot of panicked adults joined the children.

“Louisiana has the fastest rate of growth rate of coronavirus cases in the world, the state's Gov. John Bel Edwards said during a news conference on Sunday, citing a University of Louisiana Lafayette study.

“Graphs provided to CNN by the governor's office show the rate of growth in the state on a steep upward trajectory similar to that of hard-hit Italy and Spain.
The state has the third highest number of cases per capita in the country -- behind New York and Washington state, Edwards said.

“Within a week, Louisiana has gone from reporting fewer than 100 cases to more than 800 as of Sunday night.

“"That's a ten time increase in seven days," Edwards said.“
