Mississippi Governor Refuses To Act On Coronavirus, Offers Prayer Instead

Gov. Tate Reeves (R) won't close the beaches, ban social gatherings, or restrict businesses, but he did offer a prayer for Mississippi yesterday.

By Ed Scarce

"To date, Tate Reeves has chosen not to give a state directive on social distancing, group size and which businesses and activities should shut down, as governors of other states facing a growing coronavirus crisis have done." - Mississippi Free Press

He did offer a prayer for Mississippi though yesterday. And asked our Heavenly Father to watch over President Trump and Vice President Pence and the rest of their leadership team.

There was a flood coming and a man was told to evacuate, the man refused to leave because God was going to save him.

The rains came and so did the flooding. The firemen went to the man's house to get him, but he wouldn't leave, and the man said, God will save me.

The flooding got worse, the man had to climb onto his roof. Neighbors in a boat came, the man wouldn't leave. The man told them God would save him. Police rescue boat came, but the man wouldn't get in the boat. The man said, God will save me.

Finally, the man was overtaken by the flood waters and drown. When the man stood before God, he screamed, God, why didn't you save me? God said, I gave you warning to leave, I sent firemen, and two boats, what more did you want?

I have family in Gulfport, Biloxi, Long Beach and I talk to them often. The beach traffic won't really pick up for a few months.

And it's not really a nice beach, but rather a man-made strip of pumped sand, right next to a busy highway, with huge pipes dumping stormwater runoff into the Gulf of Mexico. Anyone who wants a nice beach vacation will go to Gulf Shores or Florida.

But the casinos and bars along the Gulf Coast of Mississippi are still open. Yikes!

As should the owner of Hobby Lobby who had a "vision from God" to stay open and not let his workers go home. He also doesn't give them sick pay.
