Since when are CNN and MSNBC the New York channels?

It has, what, 20 million? Out of 360 million nationwide?

Yes, it is now the hot zone and the governor has to address the needs of his constituents but most of us are not.

For almost an hour he dominated the supposedly news networks. Don't know about Fox.

We turn to them to hear of recent news, all the new, not just about the virus.

Unless they are trying to fill the space which is hard to accept.

the only answer I can think of is that Cuomo has become the defacto leader (so far) at the forefront of the Covid-19 response, and most every other public official is following that lead.

His press conferences are NY-centric but he gives more information in one briefing than Trump's team gives in ten with one major difference - what Cuomo is saying happens to be true and gives he gives a much more accurate view of what's happening on the ground.

Also, the media will follow any shiny object and right now Cuomo is that shiny object - if Hillary were in office I doubt very much Cuomo would be on quite as much as he is - he wouldn't need to be.

Also, also - both CNN and MSNBC are here and (I think at least) there is a slight bias just because of geography. It's easy to simply take the feed from the governor's office everyday rather than sending reporters out to cover other areas.

Thank you no. I'm glad the major networks, including fox are running cuomo's daily addresses. Before long, we will all be new york.

As for trump, I wish they would just pre-record him and only put on what has been vetted and means something. The idiot is a garbage blowing wind bag.

They should also be carrying Bidens addresses.

If it offends you, do what I do when trump comes on, find something else to do.

No, I don't listen to him. But first thing in the morning - for me, at least - I opened CNN to hear of the recent news. Not only about our friendly virus, but world wide. If nothing else, this epidemic has shown that we are globally connected.

And probably more important than the other drivel they cover. You have other ways to get news. All of the outlets have websites with a full spread of stories.

But getting inciteful and TRUE information is important to me, and that is not coming from the wh.

So no, the blotivator does not deserve to be the only person on the tee-vee.

Plus the cable networks always ignore everything else when they have one hot story. I remember how they ignored all actual news for two weeks when an airliner went missing and just kept repeating that one story with no real updates.

Cuomo is a voice of reason...I don’t care if the specifics are about NY..would you rather watch the sociopath do his scaled down campaign rallies? I would like to see him get more airtime to call out the dark one’s propaganda..the only thing worse than this exponential spread of virus is the exponential grifting by him and Mitch

Posted as an expatriate of New York City, and obviously biased...

Maybe they are two networks that want the rest of America to see a REAL leader, for a little contrast?

I'm sure it is pissing the turd off. He is so thin skinned, he HATES to be made to look bad. And Cuomo makes it easy to do so. If so, that is FINE by me.

It does get tiresome, but face it, CV19 is THE hot topic, for obvious reasons, so it is going to be beat to death. They do that with every "hot" topic. Within hours after a mass shooting, I am over it, but it goes on for days and weeks.

What is important is the Americans see the infection numbers increasing. The people who think it is a hoax, or think that it is being way overblown, need to understand it is real and coming to their neighborhood YESTERDAY. They aren't aware of it because of the lack of testing. Who's fault is THAT???

We need to get the testing everywhere. (The turd's responses about testing, bogus treatments, and what to do to respond is another pandora's box, which SHOULD receive the same 24/7 coverage, but that is a different issue.)

Because of the constant coverage, and Cuomo's response to it, hopefully the curve will start to flatten in NY. Elsewhere, it won't happen until similar steps are taken.

People need to be made to ask, "why isn't the rest of the country responding, and improving, like New York is?"

Because WE have a REAL leader. And it AIN'T the turd.

And, no doubt Cuomo provides a steady and calm leadership.

But it was about New York. They could have, later, provided the summary, or main points.
