New York Times: Mr. Trump has become frustrated with Dr. Faucis blunt approach at the briefing lectern, which often contradicts things the president has just said
Mr. Trump knows that Dr. Fauci is seen as credible with a large swath of the public and with journalists, and so he has given him more leeway to contradict him than he has other officials.

(13,536 posts)what he's saying about COVID-19. Complaining that the media is way overreacting to hurt Trump, that they didn't want the whole country shut down under Obama. I can't post that link I guess, and it's probably a waste of your time to go find it. You can trust me on this, you already can guess about everything that guy brings up.
Here is my response. The first paragraph was just a copy and paste from CNN.
Senator Richard Burr-"There's one thing that I can tell you about this," Burr is heard saying on a recording obtained by NPR. "It is much more aggressive in its transmission than anything that we have seen in recent history. It is probably more akin to the 1918 pandemic."
Just part of what Burr told a group he met with at an exclusive club. That came from a classified briefing. That is what the Trump administration knew and did not want us to know.
Burr was recorded saying this on 2/27. That makes it clear the administration knew how serious this is at least the day before if not weeks sooner. At least some of the actions Trump is bragging about could have and should have began at least a month ago.

(16,846 posts)So fucking infuriating how they're couching this as being "poor Trump is frustrated". No, fuck that, we're all frustrated with the fact that Trump, the bloviating idiot, won't shut the fuck up and listen to people who actually know how to handle a crisis like this one!
