That should be the obligation of any citizen who has an assertion without facts in a conversation. Ask him to research it.

If our school systems do anything, they need to teach critical thinking skills. This is a fundamental example. I debated in high school, and debate isn't I think/feel - it is facts.

Besides Cotton, The Washington Times, citing an Israeli biological warfare analyst, suggested the virus was developed in a lab, potentially as part of a Chinese bioweapons program. A story claiming China planned to admit the virus came from the lab was also circulating on Facebook but flagged by fact-checkers as false.

Facts First: Experts have dismissed Cotton's "engineered bioweapon hypothesis" but noted it's possible, yet unlikely, that the lab was connected to the start of the outbreak.

He's the same Senator who sent a letter to Iran's Ayatollahs warning them not to trust Obama. Despite being a veteran, a traitor.

Watch him. He is a dangerous man who will yield even more power in the future.

If they knew how to read and understand the genomic studies going on (nextstrain.org) they would realize how thoroughly debunked that notion is.

...coronavirus it was all Weinstein/Anti-Biden prop where sleepy joe is creepy joe a sex trafficking blood sucking pedophile, donchaknow). Shortly thereafter the theory that this was purely a chinese bioweapon bubbled-up and within a day or two of that Tom Cotton tweeted about it, went on Fox and pushed it and it's been amplified in the bro-nets ever since.

Forgive me because I don't remember where I read this.... but basically they way covid-19 is constructed is too dissimilar from existing viruses for it to be man-made. Reason being if you wanted to engineer a virus you would start with an existing one and screw around with its genetic template to build what you want, but that clearly did not happen with covid.......

Chinese officials and news outlets said that the United States was the source of the virus.

they like they're posions, nukes, weapons...whatever. The Chinese would not grind their economy to a halt on purpose, and they're too smart to make that kind of an error. The United States may have helped Russia, though. I'm sure any right-winger would be okay with that.

But my gut feeling tells me it was an accidental breach at the Wuhan virology facility.

I can’t prove it, but I do highly suspect it.

It is a strange coincidence that the virus started right where there was a biohazard lab.

I read that theory quite a while ago.

that's most likely NOT what happened.

It's novel. Either they were working with a virus nobody else had worked on and nobody knew they had or it did what viruses do from time to top and hopped hosts.

The difference between "intentionally made and accidentally released" and just "intentionally made" is trivial.

In fact, "intentionally made and accidentally released" is 99% "was intentionally made."
