He just doesn't get it.

There is no way possible that we can safely get through this in a matter of weeks, when we have 43000 confirmed cases, and 400,000 probable cases as of TODAY.

He's setting us up for catastrophe.

Can't remember the specifics. But because of the under-testing and the fact that people are asymptomatic for a while after they are infected, the actual number of infections is 10x what is being reported. Also, the number reported today is a few days behind because it takes a couple of days to get results.
