Today I transfered my MM Fund savings to a bank account with this mess

I want to have the FDIC protection. My IRA is screwed for now, to late to sell without losing a bunch
of my principle. I kept my IRA invested in 2009 and it more than doubled over the years. But at my age
I may never get back to where I was. I wish those F---g Senators would have informed me before the crash.
Then there are the pensions I wonder what will happen to them. I remember back 50 years ago I was told by
one of the old timers at work that the only time we make money is when Democrats run the government.
