...are willing to set an example, to lead from the front.

Now, I'm not advocating they do so. It's just nuts. If they did, it'd be proof they're off their rockers.

But failure to do so is proof that they're full of shit.

There ain't no in-between there.

Perhaps this kind of crazy will subside as we see the death toll rise.

But we know Scott McMillan said it:

The fundamental problem is whether we are going to tank the entire economy to save 2.5% of the population which is (1) generally expensive to maintain, and (2) not productive.

The original tweet has since been deleted, but Rick Wilson archived it here:

Who consider first trimester abortions are murder are willing to sacrifice 15% of the American population* on the alter of the almighty dollar.

This is what we have come to.

* approximate number of Americans over 65 years old.

8. What he is really suggesting

It that others sacrifice themselves for the economy. If the Lt. Gov. of Texas gets the ailment, he knows he will get the ventilator, the private room, and the best doctors, just as all of the well placed people were getting tests when the sick could not.

This shit is just national insanity, and I can't believe that these greedy bastards would be so bold as to say such things in public. If the wealthy want old people to give up their lives for profits, they should lead the way and see if we follow. Perhaps the Lt. Gov. should eat a gun in front of the cameras to show that he really means what he says I would be impressed with his dedication, even if I thought he was bat shit crazy.

It is clear the the Republicans are willing to sacrifice all of the old people for profits. Young people better believe that if we have a new super bug that only kills the young, they would receive the same consideration.

That is the rabbit hole that unfettered greed has led our nation down. When this health crisis is over, we need to make some drastic changes.
