There are no drugs approved to try to prevent or treat the new coronavirus. Self-medicating to prevent the coronavirus can be dangerous and possibly deadly.

I support "death with dignity" laws and am proud to live in a state that allows patients with a documented life-ending condition to request life-ending interventions. But Kevorkian was a really dodgy person, starting his career with a plan to harvest the organs of prisoners after execution and moving on to assist in killing people in an outpatient setting.

A handful of the people Kevorkian helped were simply middle-aged people with depression who believed they were a burden to their families.

Kevorkian was in many ways a dreadful figure and possibly the worst person to represent the subject of assisted suicide, and I often wish that he wasn't such a problematic figure. It almost taints the Death with Dignity subject, but luckily states have continued to look at this issue and to agree: a person who has been given a death date by their medical providers should have the option of suicide.
