So, the source of Trump's current anger at the NYT is...

...the fact that they praised Biden's tone, didn't give Trump enough "credit, and OH...SIN OF SINS...referred to him as "Mr. Trump" and not "PRESIDENT" Trump.

Donald J. Trump

This is the way the @nytimes finished a story on me. “You can see the contrast between the steady, assured, informed and strong leadership that VP Biden (Sleepy Joe) has shown, and the bungling, chaotic and dishonest start-stop approach that Mr. (not Pres.) Trump has shown....

Hey, Trump, you stupid f%ck, that's the way the NYT's style manual works. They identify a person by their official title at the beginning of the article but in subsequent references use "Mr." They do that for everybody, including you. You're lucky they don't call you what the rest of us are thinking.

In a late night Twitter rant, President Donald Trump falsely accused one of his favorite media foils, the New York Times, of dispensing with objectivity and deliberately attacking him in a news story. In fact, the highly critical quote in question came from the chair of the Texas Democratic Party not Times reporters, but Trump dishonestly failed to acknowledge that in either of his online posts about the story.

Trump’s Monday night outrage was aimed at a Times news analysis published on the day before, which assessed his attempt to claim the mantle of a “wartime president” in his response to the coronavirus outbreak. The conclusion of the long story contrasted the leadership styles of Trump with that of his likely 2020 Democratic rival, former Vice President Joe Biden. In the final paragraph, the Times clearly attributed to Texas Democrat Gilberto Hinojosa an opinion on why Biden’s approach is preferable to Trump’s.

The Republican Party has been pursuing a fascist agenda for the past fifty years. Nixon attacked the news that dared to make any comment about his abuse of power. Every Republican since has used the same tactic to stifle criticism. Trump is a carbon copy of the bombastic Mussolini. Another obnoxious no-nothing fat slob spewing hatred.

Joe's plan for C-19 (he listened to experts)

Mobile drive thru test facilities.

Creation of temporary hospital facilities.

Free testing and treatment.

Coordination among local, state and federal governments and agencies.

Free, widely available vaccine when possible.

Restoration of the Pandemic Response Team 45 cut

Oversight on spending to combat the virus

Immediate economic steps to stabilize economy and help those who live paycheck to paycheck. Not tax cuts or subsidies.

Step by step layout of populations that need help to eat, get education, maintain homes.

Paid sick leave during emergency

State and local emergency fund to combat each state’s unique issues

Look beyond borders and engage with the rest of the world. Lead a coordinated, global response.

"President Bush" (R)

"Clinton" (D)

"President George W Bush" (R)

"Obama" (D)

... noticing a pattern here?

And now Mr Trump is getting upset that he's not getting his rightful (R) treatment (which also illustrates that he DOES know how this game has been played, and IS aware of the effect on public discourse)

So anyway : Boo Hoo.

Republicans and their media hacks have been playing this exact game for 40 years. And they know it.
