'Space Force' name changed postponed for Patrick AFB, Cape Canaveral AFS due to coronavirus

Amid the coronavirus outbreak that has infected over 390,000 people worldwide, Space Force officials have delayed renaming Patrick Air Force Base and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station to "Patrick Space Force Base" and "Cape Canaveral Space Force Station."

No date has been set for the renaming, the 45th Space Wing told FLORIDA TODAY Tuesday.

Last month, the 45th Space Wing Commander Brig. Gen. Douglas Schiess had announced the name change to the bases during the "State of the Installation" event to reflect their role as part of the military's new Space Force branch.

The bases located here were expected to change its name this month.

1. So how much is that going to cost to change all the signage, stationary,...

There are a lot of workers along the Space Coast & central Florida that have just lost their jobs that won't be able to pay their rent, buy food,... but we gotta pay for dump's Space Force .

It sounds like a cartoon. Navy already has a decent name, SPAWAR. I'm sure the AF already has one too, I just don't know it.
