He said he would pack the Supreme Court.
This was an acknowledgement that at the time the majority of the Justices were all of the same political inclination ----to favor big business.
The current Supreme Court is also packed with politically active justices. The most "activist" court I have seen is the US Supreme Court during the 2000s, in which it subverted the election in order to select a president, and in which it asked for new briefing to a question not raised on appeal in the Citizens United case. That latter instance led to the disastrous ruling in which the Court held that corporations are people, money is speech, and it is unconstitutional to limit corporate spending on campaigns.

Would Obama put up with these clowns if he had the power all the candidates think they will possess if elected?

People need to call BULLSHIT! on these yahoos when they spout this crap.

Like the college students did, calling out Ricky on his gay rights stance.

Call 'em out!

As much as we have an imperial presidency, we are nowhere close to those absolute powers.

I dont know why the reich wing is so fired up over shutting down courts they don't agree with. They've got the SCOTUS in their pocket right now. Bought and paid for.

I would have called Romney a shit head but not a nutter, but he's proving to be just as nutz.

He says the courts should be the least powerful branch of government. In fact, the Constitution set up the government so the courts would be one of three equal branches of government.

Yeah. I understand where progressives have issues with President Obama, but Dear God, even the most disillusioned have to see that he's better than this. Or Newt. Or Mittens. These people are contemptible - I'm talking about the Republican candidates here, not any of my fellow liberals.
