Internet explodes as Fox’s Brit Hume says it’s ‘entirely reasonable’ to let grandparents die for the stock market

On Fox News Tuesday, commentator Brit Hume leaned into the idea suggested by Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick that the elderly should be willing to sacrifice themselves to coronavirus so younger people can go work and boost the stock market, telling host Tucker Carlson that such an idea was an “entirely reasonable viewpoint.”

Nobody is saying we need to save every single person (an impossibility from the git go) and we ought to be willing to destroy the economy in order to do so.

Dead people don't pay taxes, dead people don't pay for services or buy products. Dead people could be not just YOU but your children, grandchildren or others you 'love'. In the long run letting people DIE is not just a horrendous thing to do but it will actually do MORE damage to the economy.
