4. I've been the recipient of some puzzling hostility by:

1. Asking if anyone knew where I could find masks
2. Asking a clerk nicely if she would back up when I asked her a question and she came up very close to me. She was piiiiiisssssed. I even told her I apologized if I offended her but explained I was trying to maintain a 6 foot distance because of some health issues. She wasn’t having any of my apology.

Since these episodes, I haven’t asked anyone about masks or been to a store, even for grocery shopping. It’s stressful enough. Don’t need to deal with people’s fear, anger and hostility.
