Kanye West Doubles Down on Trump Support in New Interview: 'I'm a Black Guy With a Red [MAGA] Hat'

Kanye West isn’t moonwalking away from his comments that favor President Donald Trump. Covering the latest issue of the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday (Mar. 25), West doubled down on his controversial stance, explaining why he despises assumptions made about his character.

“I’m a black guy with a red [MAGA] hat, can you imagine?” West said. “It reminded me of how I felt as a black guy before I was famous when I would walk in a restaurant, and people would look at you like you were going to steal something. ‘This is your place, Ye, don’t talk about apparel. This is your place, Ye, you’re black, so you’re a Democrat.'”

In 2018, West was lambasted by fans for his unwavering support of Donald Trump, tweeting that he admired his “dragon energy,” and referred to him as “his brother.” In his interview, West also speaks about classism and its adverse effects on his life. “Everything is about putting people in their place. Classism, protectionism—not just racism,” he said. “Classism is like living on a bookshelf. The more money you have, the higher you go. And you get to the top and look over and what do you see? Fear.”

It doesn’t symbolize some kind of grand protest against establishment Blacks.

know in his 1 hour interview with Letterman he talked about deadening and weight gain.
Also embracing the manic side but acknowledging the low end
I don’t know that his family can do anything just like most families or friends who see another adult make decisions on psych medication .
I have an extended family member who needs meds took them for less than a year and now claims he can exist on marijuana it has lessened the problems for him with society but he is still ill and obvious to family just under the radar
West is not looking to stay in the shadows that was always part of his personality and appeal anyway so expect to see strange from him and his wife is a media seeker so he won’t go away
WSJ must want to highlight anything but the sinking stock market these days

tells the world that he supports the world's most infamous birther with a documented history of racism dating back decades. Kind of like the Nazi salute allowed the public to identify the Nazis among them. Likewise, as many as 150000 Jews served in Hitler's military.
