If you f*ck with my city, I'm going to speak on it.

You see that video going around of these silly ass college kids down in South Florida on spring break? Talking about, “If I get corona, I get corona, bro,” and all that nonsense?

Man, I’ll tell you one thing for sure.

Those kids have never been hungry a day in their life.

They never had to worry about nothing more serious than a pop quiz. But they’re still coming down here — coming to our state — in the middle of a pandemic, acting like nothing’s going on??

They have never had to want for a solitary thing in their lives, never.

When I first watched, I noticed how well-off they all seemed and how nice and perfect their teeth are.

I have an overbite. My parents had no money for a dentist, much less for an orthodontist to fix them so I still have it today.

My family lived in near poverty as I had a sick brother that fell very ill at the age of 1-1/2 years after a series of vaccines (go ahead hate me for saying this but my mother sure remembered!). All resources went for his care, all of them.

I was lucky to have a pair of shoes. I made my own clothes.

That was my reality in the 1960s.

As for my brother, he died when he was 40. I'm glad my parents pre-deceased him for they would have been so very upset knowing how much was sacrificed for my brother who did not live very long.

We all paid the price in the era when Reagan cut funds for families like mine.

Just another example of how evil Repugs are.

Rotten to the core; all of them.

The shame is something one never gets over, even when it lasts for a relatively short time.

I see our local kids following the rules, staying inside trying to "spring break" on skype and then you look around and see all the kids from out of town beaching everywhere like they own the damn place refusing to fly back home, or at the very least stay inside. There is a serious disrespect for those of us who have to stay here and deal with the mess and germs you leave behind for us.
