Could have been awful. Dems did great work here. Has a ton for workers. The bailouts for corporations come with strings and oversight attached to them and are weighted more towards loans than handouts.

America is about to be a much more socialist country for at least 4 months.

Fingers were crossed that our Dems would successfully iron out some of the giveaways to the corporations.

Yay, team!

It sounded pretty good until I read this article at HuffPo: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/senate-democrats-donald-trump-coronavirus-bill_n_5e7b77a6c5b62a1870d62d83

Too much money to big corporations that wouldn't be in this position if they hadn't blown their cash on stock buybacks, some of the oversight may be more cosmetic than substantive, and the sheer size of it is scary to me as a relatively young person who's going to be paying it back for the rest of my life.

There are some parts of it that are badly needed and quickly, but there's so much unnecessary crap that part of me is hoping AOC blows it up when it goes to the House.

And Trump was left to further crash our health care system, with hardly any interference by Congress.

So now maybe it’s to late to dig us out?

I hope I’m wrong.

On local news tonite, salons are going to shut down. One owner is self employed. She has never closed down like this in 24 or 26 years. She's concerned that she will not see any relief from this emergency fund, but at the minimum she may receive the $1200.

What I'm witnessing is making me sick and cold inside.

The blood be on the hands of the workers of iniquity.

That the way he was handling this continues to drive up the numbers who will die and the havoc that is about to overtake our entire health care system.

And shaming the Republicans for not reeling him in.

I recall that Democrats gained The House. Then I'm grateful for that. An unnerving dread comes over me considering if they had not. 2016 was bad enough. I am thankful for this 'favor' as it were.

But at least it's more than we had and the Democrats are making sure that it's mostly a good bill.
