There is only one thing that Trump could do to unify this country: "Resign his office April 1, 2020"

...That is it, and that is all. This way, the nation can focus on totally dealing with this horrific problem. Donald Trump is taken out of the picture forever. Of course, Pence is not any better, but at least there will not be thought about how stupid Trump is as the current President of the United States. The focus will turn to Mike Pence, and dealing with one of the most horrific and disastrous problems in world history.
....Trump is clearly too stupid to have a clue. He will lose the November election. By resigning, the focus will not be on what a poor way handled the beginning of the crises, and how he made fun of this crises in the beginning. As stated, he will be out of the picture forever. He won't do it, but at least the suggestion could be made. Trump has already destroyed his reputation forever. Nothing he can say or do will change that. The focus needs to be changed totally away from Trump to dealing with this horrific problem.

That's not saying a lot, but he doesn't have the conflict of interest of having personal business interests at stake.

I think he'd be more likely to listen to the experts and understand that he's in over his head. Trump clearly doesn't.

Or, maybe next week on Monday. I guess you are correct, April 1, would be a bad day. The 2nd or 3rd would be better. But it would make a great headline. "The Fool Leaves on All Fools' Day

Find some way of saving face and leaving with a tiny shred of dignity.

What am I saying that fucker is too stupid to know when he is beat.

He will stick around and make us suffer until he's either dead or voted out.

And he will try to prevent us voting him out.

"Trump is clearly too stupid to have a clue"

No, he's doing exactly what he wants to do. He wants plausible deniability and to displace responsibility. By making silly proclamations like the country being open for business by Easter, he can convince his minions that he tried and it was those evil Democrats and the media that kept him from fulfilling his promises. It's the same strategy he's used since day one.
