One of the few benefits of being an old fart in this time of pandemics.
Otherwise, getting old sucks. 😱

I got to Costco at 7:50 for the 8am senior hour. The line wrapped around the building. But worse, people were coming out of the building with loaded carts - obviously, the store had opened well before 8am. Who knew?
Saving grace - I was there for paper towels, and the signs outside the store indicated they were out of stock, so I turned around and left without getting out of the car.

(27,101 posts)6. Sprouts has declined to do senior hours for that reason: crowds.
Kind of defeats the purpose.

(24,396 posts)9. Indeed. I went Tuesday after 10:30 and got everything I needed - except paper towels.
A clerk told me I needed to get there early to find paper towels, which is why I went today for their advertised 8am opening. No dice.
