I read that a couple NPR stations have had it.

(5,897 posts)Local stations may or may not, depends. Here in Atlanta NBC and CBS locals dumped out of it to air their newscasts.

(25,167 posts)with them. Why do they think it is important to let him blatantly lie to the American People?
It seems the better thing to do is tape the press conference and play back only those passages that yield good and helpful information and not the lies and presidential patting in the back (essentially - the associated campaigning he is getting away with).
If he or the WH balks because they choose not to air these conferences live - the response should be to him: when you stop using these as campaign rallies and stop the lying - we'll resume airing the live conferences. Basically - stand up to this bully.
His lies are not newsworthy. He needs to be told that.

(13,941 posts)His White House Coronavirus press conferences are 800,000 gallons of total bullshit and one thimble full of legitimate news content coming from the experts.
He is using these Coronavirus press babble fests as his Nazi Political Rallies. He is using the Office of the President as a backdrop for his re-election to his second term.
The taxpayers and television broadcast studios should not get stuck paying the costs or picking up any of the bills of his re-election costs. He is such a slimy leach.
