Presentations for Vietnam Veterans 50th lapel pins might be cancelled/postponed b/c COVID

I had registered with my congresscritter's office and the presentation event was scheduled for April. I haven't been notified of cancellation or postponement, but there are VA news releases saying so, generally. But there is an e-mail request link for the pin to be mailed to you. No boxes in the e-mail for identifying information, just a blank. I put in branch, dates in Vietnam, last four, name, address, phone, e-addy.

As the world grapples with Coronavirus Disease 2019 and March 29, National Vietnam War Veterans Day approaches, safeguarding the well-being of our Vietnam veterans and their families, as well as our Commemorative Partners, has taken on special significance.

As such, and in compliance with a recent directive from the Secretary of Defense, the staff of The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration will cease all travel in support of commemorative events during the next 60 days.

Further, we will continue to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance and comply with local health authorities during this outbreak.

Daily, Commemorative Partners across the country are alerting us that they have chosen to postpone or reschedule their upcoming commemorative events. When a date for your rescheduled event is selected, please log in to our Partner Portal and submit a new Commemorative Events Request form (DD2956). Once our staff is cleared to travel, we will again entertain requests for Commemoration speakers and booth personnel.

We understand Commemorative Partners in lower risk areas or environments may choose to host commemorative events thanking and honoring Vietnam veterans and their families.
