Yeah, probably not gonna happen, but it's a prime fantasy in the fevered brain of Trump.

Here's the scenario: He's in prison and has a stroke. The paralysis is so complete that only his eyes have vertical movement and he can blink. He can't speak and can't move anything else, but he's fully conscious and aware, can hear, see, and feel. There's no Twitter and no way to communicate except by learning to blink in response to questions. He will live, in this condition in the prison hospital, to be a very old man.

And I don't criticize folks and say they're not doing the right thing when I don't know what that right thing is.

I'm sure FEMA does have policies in place for determining what (they think) is the right thing to do. We probably think they are bad policies. That was my point. It depends on your priorities. Ours are good, theirs are bad.

instead of beating around the bush? There's nothing wrong with being more direct with your opinion if you truly value it instead of harping about other people's opinions.
Enough already.

As well as name names. I think she should also use more precise language than stuff. That sounds unprofessional.

What did the pandemic response plan say about allocating scarce resources. This is mobilization planning. It requires a defense logistics mindset.

Most importantly it requires coordination from the top without partisan considerations. That point must be emphasized.

First in, first out?-No

By who is willing to pay the most? Auction? No

By geographical area? No

By social/demographic factors? Are we referring to population centers? Hotspots-Yes.

And don't say "need", who determines "need"? N/A

How would you ration items in limited supply?-See above in bold.

It just is not that complicated. You are asking some pretty irrelevant questions, IMO.

Do they have the personnel to manage care?
Should rich people be able to buy one for private use?-no.

the Defense Production Act. He won't use it to force companies to produce life saving equipment, but he might be using it to limit who the vendors can sell their equipment to. In other words, he is using his presidential powers for political payback.

two "democratic" states. Of course, he's also killing his own fanboys who can't get on a ventilator. But that doesn't matter to him because there aren't enough fanboys in those states to turn them "red". So to hell with them. Kill them all and blame the Democratic governors.

Plus, Trump does not have any authority to tell vendors not to send stuff to any particular place.

This is the kind of vague statement that makes no sense.

My cousin and her wife live in Michigan. Not sure if she's a Trumpster (I don't go there) but her brother is. He lives in AZ. If Trump puts loved ones lives in danger in MI out of spite, he might remember the people he's using as pawns have family members who love them all over the country. There will be justice. Please don't give into cynicism that Trump will get away with all this in the end. He most certainly won't. It looks bad now, but believe that he is toast, because this is the truth. Never give up hope.

His supporters will claim all negative information as fake news. They love his vindictive, angry response, which they view as strength.
The only way he loses support with his base is if he embraces diversity, and bans guns.

And I think those were manipulated. So his base is truly a minority. The only way he wins is by fraud. Like the last time. I can only hope he expires very shortly. Or we revolt.

Who is relaying this to vendors? What is the chain of communication between tRump’s vengeful political machinations and states seeking resources? What is their evidence/justifications/documentation for following through with these harmful interjections?

This all needs to documented as much as possible.

Who, why, and how are they doing this?

I'd love to be part of Canada! I love the people there.

As an aside, I have a friend whose seventy year old father died from the virus today. He was at Beaumont in Royal Oak and they are running at capacity and have been asking - no, begging for help.

The last governor, a GOP'er, poisoned many people in Flint. Now we've got a decent, caring governor and because she's a strong, self-confident, intelligent woman and a Democrat, the sociopath in our White House is being vengeful.

This would work in the Fox News offices or reality show version, why not with the reality show villain of all time?

Biden made her a co-chair:

"In a statement to MLive, Biden said Whitmer has been a “tenacious fighter” for Michigan while “facing a dangerous abdication of leadership from Donald Trump during this pandemic." Biden, who posted a decisive victory in Michigan’s March primary on the same day the state’s first coronavirus cases were discovered, tapped Whitmer to serve as a national co-chair for his campaign."

Bush did exactly the same thing to Blanco before Katrina hit. She begged him for aid, for the national guard and he didn’t listen.

And it basically ended her political career. I do still see people say that Blanco’s response, forgetting about Bush, to the hurricane was atrocious. Bobby Jindal won on the basis that the Dems were terrible during Katrina.

I wonder if that’s what they’re trying to do to Whitmer and other Dem governors? Try to say the Democrats aren’t doing enough to get people to vote GOP on all levels?
