Trish Regan Out At Fox Business After Conspiracy Theory Coronavirus Rant

Conspiracy theorist Trish Regan has left her position as a Fox Business Network host following an off-the-rails monologue in which she falsely claimed Democrats were drumming up fears about the coronavirus to make President Donald Trump look bad.

“This is yet another attempt to impeach the president,” Regan said on her program, “Trish Regan Primetime,” earlier this month. A graphic that appeared on-screen said “Coronavirus impeachment scam.”

She was echoing the words of Trump himself, who has claimed that coverage of the virus had become a Democratic or media “hoax” made up to hurt his chances of reelection. Regan also claimed Trump’s enemies were trying to “create mass hysteria to encourage a market selloff” and “stop our economy dead in its tracks.”

Outrage from Regan’s comments caused the network to put her show on hiatus two weeks ago. Regan claimed in a tweet that the hiatus was due to coronavirus concerns ― the very thing she hoped to downplay as a serious threat on her show ― but the picture became clearer Friday when the show’s cancellation was announced.

1. I'll reiterate what I've said in a couple of other threads on her departure...

I think it's a matter of timing and "look".

Regan's rant came just before the Soviet-grade rewrite of the "Correct Policy That We Have Always Had" which came down from the Party Central Committee (Trump and his FOX cronies).

Subsequently, she and her face featured prominently in every ad critical of FOX, Trump, and how they've mishandled the coronavirus pandemic. She's the Snarling Face of Horseshit that people will remember.


So in proper Soviet form, she gets airbrushed out of the picture.

It's not as if they don't have yet another Ranting Blonde who can take over.

4. Funny, it's mostly Republicans driving the market sell off

Institutional trading is formulaic, with triggers to sell after some percent drop. I would imagine ver6 few investment bankers, traders, hedge fund managers are Democrats.

These people are so utterly disingenuous... nice to know even Fox has their limits..
