there are all sorts of symptoms of problems, but through analysis, you could typically end up at a root cause from which all of the symptoms and troubles originated. Treating the symptoms really didn't do the trick - you had to get to the root cause and deal with it, then things could significantly improve.

Right now in the US - in the World, to some degree - we have a root cause making everything much worse. We know what that root cause is. It is an ugly, fake, orange thing with shit for brains and more mental issues than could be adequately described.
