The presidential veto of Congressional oversight was prearranged.

This was not some last-minute wording added by a White House lawyer.

The Trump crime family was prepared.

There were discussions beforehand with Moscow Mitch and Congressional Republicans.

A signing statement is merely the opinion of the POTUS on the legality of a provision. A signing statement is merely a prediction of what the Executive branch May take in litigation if that provision is ignored

It is a subversion of American democracy.

The only thing he forgot to add was "The executive branch shall construe these sections in a manner consistent with the constitutional authority of the President" like George W. Bush used to do.
