I wonder how much people's health will suffer due to Covid19?

Lots of people don't cook and they're just getting take out or eating processed food. Between the sodium and fat contact I see a whole other health crisis coming. People hoarded toilet paper, alcohol and processed food. What could go wrong? Parking your butt in front of the TV doesn't help either.

There's been plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables in stock in the stores when other shelves have been empty.

Take care of yourself peoples.

I mean, yes, people do go there a lot but for some reason they are going a lot more.

It must be people with money because going to fast food places is expensive.

Most people I'm aware of are shifting more to home cooking. Takeout is harder to come by - and often requires more $.

I agree as to less activity. Even though my job is sedentary, I am normally up and about several times a day and deliberately take the stairs to move about the building. I'm mostly stuck in my recliner. I don't have an office set up at home, but I've got 2 monitors and a printer I have to negotiate every time I get up - so I tend to get up less.

I'm chief cook. I've always loved to cook. Wife and daughter keep my company. My mom taught me the basics. My daughter is working on her masters in nutrition and we have great conversations.

Unfortunately we have very different tastes/dietary needs. My daughter and I are pretty compatible, so I usually cook for the two of us. My spouse is not - so we offer, but don't get taken up on it much.

My daughter and I like Thai, Indian, lots of veggies, very little meat. My spouse likes eastern European - bland, white (pasta, potatoes white bread), and it's not a meal unless it has meat.
