(35,293 posts)Texas is at 31 at 1.3acres.
But 32 are Dallas/Ft. Worth. Over spring break had choice of heading to Brownsville or up to Dallas. Picked Brownsville. The better of the two choices for coronavirus avoidance and Corona engagement.
People may say Texas is just undertesting and is as bad as anywhere else, but for now I look at the deaths: We're essentially tied for 11th place with PA, CT, CO, IN. (Yes, that could radically change.) On the other hand, we're #2 for population, so we're punching way below our class.
The good news is still macabre. NY no longer accounts for 1/2 the reported cases and 1/2 the deaths. Now it's down to a bit more than 1/3 of the deaths. That ratio's likely to decrease in the next few days. Sadly, if NY were a country, it would be #7, just behind the UK, in reported deaths.
