Pitting the states against each other makes me feel like we're living on a war game table

The coasts against the flyover country and the south. What will they do when the port of NY is shut down?

The thing is that he spouts before thinking and then has to retract or assert he never proposed whatever because it's usually a completely bone headed idea. And one that some Trump Whisperer murmured into his ear during one of his numerous daily phone calls with sycophants ... erm <cough> friends.

CEO Eddie Lampert played departments and stores against each other instead of getting the various parts of the business to to promote the entire brand. Even though the first major mistake was closing their catalogue sales section just before internet sales took off, Lampert's leadership killed the company.

He is outbidding the blue stars with his nearly unlimited federal funds and withholding supplies.

The blue states can afford to outbid red states. They can't outbid the federal government.

Florida got everything they requested and New York got fucked. I can't blame New Yorkers for fleeing here. This bullshit Trump is doing is going to make this pandemic worse.

It's only an opportunity for him to steal more. So he doesn't want to spend it on us.
