A while ago I wrote a post about the slumbering America people.

I gave some examples of how the American people have been very slow to react throughout our history to great danger.

It took two years and the bombing of pearl harbor to wake the American people up. It takes the death of many Americans to wake the people up. The same thing happened at the beginning of our civil war.

At one of the very 1st battles of the civil war, people from a near by town packed picnic baskets and took their families to watch the show. They didn't have a clue of what was about to happen.

This virus is going to kill a lot of Americans. The death toll will wake up the American people, including many Trump voters. Trump will be remembered as one of the most evil, hated men in our history. Many Trump voters will deny they were Trump voters.

Unfortunately, it takes a large death toll to wake the American people from their slumbering ways.

The bookmakers in London had it 5 -1 in favor of the Union. Ladbroke had it 7 -1. So some Washington officials took their carriages and went to see the rebels surrender.
