Damn. Now we know he wanted to just "ride this sucker out" knowing that 2.5 million would probably

die from the virus.

He had to be talked out of it.

That's one of the things I got out of what he said at his press conference today.

Federal stockpile of PPE. Face masks, surgical masks, plastic body cover, face shields, swabs, Cv-19 test kits, ventilators.

Massachusetts = 17% of requested
Maine................ = 5% of requested
Colorado............ = one day of supply
Michigan............ = 7% -of what requested

FLORIDA......

March 11 order.. = 100% received
March 23 order.. = 100% received
March 25 order.. = Not yet shipped

**********

Anecdotally, there are wide differences, and they do not appear to follow discernible political or geographic lines. Democratic-leaning Massachusetts, which has had a serious outbreak in Boston, has received 17 percent of the protective gear it requested, according to state leaders. Maine requested a half-million N95 specialized protective masks and received 25,558 — about 5 percent of what it sought. The shipment delivered to Colorado — 49,000 N95 masks, 115,000 surgical masks and other supplies — would be “enough for only one full day of statewide operations,” Rep. Scott R. Tipton (R-Colo.) told the White House in a letter several days ago.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency inherited control of the stockpile barely a week ago from HHS. Lizzie Litzow, a FEMA spokeswoman, acknowledged the agency maintains a spreadsheet tracking each state’s request and shipments. Litzow declined repeated requests to release the details, saying the numbers are in flux.

Florida has been an exception in its dealings with the stockpile: The state submitted a request on March 11 for 430,000 surgical masks, 180,000 N95 respirators, 82,000 face shields and 238,000 gloves, among other supplies — and received a shipment with everything three days later, according to figures from the state’s Division of Emergency Management. It received an identical shipment on March 23, according to the division, and is awaiting a third.

“The governor has spoken to the president daily, and the entire congressional delegation has been working as one for the betterment of the state of Florida.

Give His Royal Virus-ness some slack.

After all he is only killing off the snowflakes that did not vote for him. Besides most these democRATS are on welfare.

The point is to win a second term for trDumpie. This killing off the Blue Staters is one hell of a plan for re-election action.

I'm so excited and fired up about this, I'm going to run and get my checkbook. $500.00 to trumpie/dencie 2029, anyone got an extra postage stamp ?

Do I need this ?

I better,

It's odd that they'd get two of the same order.

But on 3/23 the state didn't say it received the stuff. It said it was distributing it. Presumably inventorying and repacking for transshipment would take a few minutes. https://www.floridadisaster.org/news-media/news/20200323-the-state-of-florida-issues-covid-19-updates/

I'd like to see confirmation from a source that said what the WP actually claimed.

https://www.propublica.org/article/heres-why-florida-got-all-the-emergency-medical-supplies-it-requested-while-other-states-did-not provides information on 3/10 concerning what the WaPo finds a total mystery on 3/28. Then again, I suppose the WaPo reporter mostly knew what they'd be saying before they actually started on the article.

Florida submitted a request for federal stockpiled PPE.

On 3/11 they submitted request number 1,... a few day later they received 100%.

On 3/23 they submitted their second request for more PPE from fed stockpile,... days later they were shipped 100%.

Approx On 3/25 they placed a third request for more stockpiled PPE,....

.... that third request is not yet received it is still in the pipe line for delivery.

Many of Florida's beaches were crowded again this weekend, and the Villages' numbers are growing.

I tend to think that Democrats are more apt to stay home.
