Akron Children's Hospital provides instructions on how to make your own face mask

AKRON, Ohio — After consulting with their Infectious Disease experts and some highly-skilled seamstresses, Akron Children’s Hospital has created a set of instructions on how to sew fabric masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The hospital has a supply list and instructions on its website.

There is also a YouTube video that was created to help guide those interested in making their own masks through the process.

While Akron Children’s Hospital reminds the public that fabric masks are not as effective as surgical masks, it hopes that the creation of the masks will help reinforce proper coughing etiquette and help slow the spread of the virus when worn by someone who is sick.

Hospitals here have been a bit picky so far but are finally becoming more lax.
