Shout out to the IT folks out there

There has been an unprecedented shift to tele-commuting in a very short time.

My company alone is supporting over 18,000 laptops with access to our network. And we are in a fairly data heavy industry. It gets a little slow in the afternoon when everyone is on at the same time but so far I have not found anything that doesn't work.

Frankly it is remarkable that our systems are robust enough to make it work.

So 3 cheers for the folks that were ready when the shit hit the fan.

Ask not what your country can do for you with Trump.
Ask what you can do for your country in her time of need.

our company only has about 4500 employees so we don't have THAT many devices out there but considering my supervisor and I are the only 2 who do what we do (telecom) it's getting a bit heavy lol. I might usually set up 2 or 3 phones a every couple months to work from home. The last week I've had to set up hundreds and more anticipated. At least it's easy to do and we have enough licenses to cover everyone. Our network and infrastructure guys and gals are hopping too. Nothing like a pandemic to stress test your network.
