Sheriff's Office obtains arrest warrant for pastor of Tampa church that held two large Sunday svcs

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has obtained an arrest warrant for the pastor of a Tampa megachurch who held two services on Sunday for scores of worshipers, violating a county order for residents to stay at home to limit the spread of coronavirus.

The Sheriff’s Office warned Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne and church attorneys at The River at Tampa Bay Church’s not to put the congregation at risk of contracting and spreading the virus by holding services at his church, Sheriff Chad Chronister said at a news conference. The Sheriff’s Office had received an anonymous tip that Howard-Browne was inviting the congregation to attend, even providing bus service to the church, Chronister said.

Howard-Browne refused to heed the warnings and held two large services on Sunday. A live stream on the church’s Facebook page showed congregants gathered for its Sunday morning “Main Event” service, many standing shoulder to shoulder while the church band played.

“Because of the reckless disregard of public safety and after repeated requests and warnings, I worked with our state attorney, Andrew Warren, to obtain a warrant for unlawful assembly and violation of public health emergency rules, both of which are second degree misdemeanors,” Chronister said. “Our goal here is not to stop anyone from worshiping, but the safety and well-being of our community must always come first."

This guy:

He has also advocated for strict punishments for people he doesn't like, including... (*sighs*) execution.

Rodney Howard-Browne, the right-wing pastor and radical conspiracy theorist who laid hands upon and prayed over President Trump in the Oval Office last year, appeared on the Christian Television Network’s “The Good Life” program recently to promote the new book he has co-written, “The Killing of Uncle Sam: The Demise of the United States of America.”

During the discussion, Howard-Browne claimed that the information revealed in his book should lead to military tribunals and executions for treason for high-ranking government officials and members of the Supreme Court.

“Personally, I think a firing squad would just be great,” he said. “Stick ’em up against a wall and take them out.”

I wish him indicted, convicted, and subject to total humiliation as a tool of the devil he seems to believe in.
