Think about it. They're both wildly narcissistic egomaniacs. They're both carnival barkers/con men who gained fame and fortune by selling fantasies to rubes. They're both failed businessmen who ran their businesses into the ground. They both skirted the law in every way imaginable. They both have delusions of grandeur. They both have fake personas and play it up when the cameras are on them. They both surround themselves with shady people. They both spend all their time on the internet peddling conspiracies and spewing hate about their rivals. They both tried (and failed) to branch out to other areas of entertainment. They both literally tried to brand themselves as "Kings" and actually owned and were photographed sitting on thrones. They both are dirt poor but go to great lengths to convince people they're rich. They've both been married several times to people who didn't love them. They both have terrible hair. The list goes on and on.
And here's the kicker: after wracking my brain, I can't name you a SINGLE way that this country would be ANY worse off than it is now had Joe Exotic actually won the Presidency when he ran in 2016.

(115,674 posts)Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (né Schreibvogel, born March 5, 1963), popularly known as Joe Exotic, is an American incarcerated criminal and former zoo operator and country singer. He previously owned and ran the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma. He claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He ran as a candidate for President of the United States as well as for Governor of Oklahoma, but neither campaign garnered significant public support. In 2019 he was convicted on 17 federal charges of animal abuse (eight violations of the Lacey Act and nine of the Endangered Species Act) and two counts of murder-for-hire, for a plot to kill Carole Baskin, the chief executive officer of Big Cat Rescue, an animal rescue organization for exotic cats. He is currently serving 22 years in federal prison. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Exotic
There's a documentary about him on Netflix, "The Tiger King."
