If I go get a test with someone who just started to get sick and so theyre infected but they dont have much virus in them maybe its negative, but maybe if I test them three days later, its going to be positive because theres a lot more virus in them at that point, said McCullers.
McCullers says, unlike other respiratory illnesses COVID-19 patients tend to get worse by day 5 or 6 rather than improving. He also says even if you suspect you got a false negative there really isnt any reason to be re-tested unless you end up in the hospital.
But you may want to quarantine yourself away from others while youre not feeling well just to be on the safe side.

(51,560 posts)Also, the Govt., including the CDC and military, is hiding the real numbers. I do not trust them anymore. They blew it with me. When we get Dems in charge I will possibly trust them again (not the military though).

(101,262 posts)of 40% came from. Unless it's Ross Douthat's "five out of eight cases were detected" - which seems a tiny sample, too small to pay attention to. It also doesn't say what the other, lower estimates are.
