If you put your trust in anything Trump or China have to say

You are a finalist in Trump's game show contest to receive a Darwin Award.

At this point I can't believe the media is still playing random quotes of anything Trump has to say, or anything coming from of the Chinese government.

Not only Trump, but both China and Russia have been pumping deliberate, false information for those prone to jumping to conclusions via belief in conspiracy theories. That misinformation gets bandied about like a virus without being fact-checked or debunked FIRST.

In the case of propaganda, it is a useful tool for contributing to chaos, divisiveness and other goodies that can help infect a society.

There are many YouTube channels that act, (wittingly or unwittingly) as vectors for the regurgitation of this toxic material, but also a good number of so-called "news sites" that act as agents to distribute the dubious information. Some are even popular and unsuspected by the gullible.

My inclination is to treat the Chinese as marginally more reliable. The W.H.O. seems to have taken them seriously enough in analysis. Their numbers may well be shaded somewhat, but remain in contact with reality. I certainly see no reason to have greater trust in figures from that cheap thug Trump's regime, or a number of 'red state' governors, than those coming from Peking. And that is without even taking into account vagaries introduced by lack of test kits, which can be honestly in error.
