Most doctors don't go to medical school with the expectation that treating patients will mean putting their own lives on the line. But over the last few weeks, that's what theyve been doing.

From the popular POTUS, our collective missed opportunity that will now result in between 100,000 & 1,500,000 civilian deaths.

(46,080 posts)I hear ya! I constantly feel like I'm working under the proverbial and literal Sword of Damocles.
I'm certain I've been exposed to CV-19 in the ambient air of the store but either haven't contracted it (yet) or I've contracted it but have been asymptomatic or have had minimal symptoms.

It is a shame that it took a pandemic to generate even a little respect for the folks that have been essential workers all along, be it a snow storm, a hurricane, power outage or what have you, the Grocery stores are expected to be open and fully stocked. All done by folks looked down upon by society, often poorly paid and often with little or no benefits.
