Instacart

If I worked for Instacart I'd start getting contacts of all customers I visited, give them my email, let them send me their lists for the week, and utilize some type of payment app on my phone. Cut out the middle man and reap the benefits. Yesterday on a radio broadcast they mentioned Instacart would add a 15% tip to each bill for "hazard pay". Sorry no. Time to step up to the plate and protect the people making you money.

It's the only window I could get for delivery and I have been waiting six days for it already.

This is getting bad. Very bad.

I started using them last fall when I realized that I could no longer lift a gallon of milk b/c my shoulders were too painful. Pulling my self to my car, opening the backdoor, putting my walker in, leaning on the car, sliding in the drivers seat, driving to the grocery, reversing the process, going in the store, folding the walker putting somehow in the power cart...and so on. Not always that easy.
I bought a years membership.

I need a Grocery Fairy phone#, cause I would use it and value them.

other day. I agree w/ you, Tink41, I don't know if you work in the delivery business, but if you did, I'm sure that you have lots of customers that really appreciate all you do, and tip accordingly. Be safe and happy!

The one I saw was charging 15% of the order.

Pretty sure I saw an independent (not instacart) at Trader Joe’s yesterday. TJ’s won’t allow instacart.

TJ’s is metering customers into the store. You wait in a long line 6’ apart and as a person leaves a TJ employee at the exit motions to the TJ employee at the entrance to let another customer in.

Needless to say, I had a bit of time to stand in line. I watched one guy put his groceries in his trunk. Then he grabbed more bags (not sure why, TJ’s won’t touch personal bags right now) and grabbed his empty cart and went to the back of the line.

I concluded he was probably shopping for someone else. Since TJ’s doesn’t tolerate Instacart, I assumed independent shopper.

In order to even get a delivery slot six days from now, you have to log in at 2 am to reserve it.

Lots of folks are trying it.
