'Bunch Of Pansies': Pennsylvania Pastor Slams Coronavirus Precautions, Plans 'Woodstock'-Like Easter

https://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2020/04/01/pittsburgh-pastor-to-hold-woodstock-like-easter-gathering-despite-coronavirus-pandemic/

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A Pittsburgh area pastor says he plans to organize an outdoor “Woodstock”-like Easter service to protest the stay-at-home orders to prevent coronavirus. Conservative Christian pastor Jonathan Shuttlesworth made the announcement on social media Tuesday. “I’m gonna announce it. We’re gonna hold an outdoor Easter blowout service. Not online. A national gathering. You come from all over, like Woodstock. And we’re gonna gather and lift up Jesus Christ,” Shuttlesworth says.

His announcement comes following the arrests of several pastors in the U.S. for violating the stay-at-home orders. Shuttlesworth is a televangelist who co-founded Revival Today TV, and is based in Washington County. This isn’t the first time Shuttlesworth has made headlines. Earlier this month he called out European churches that are taking measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

“Shame on every European full gospel church, bunch of sissies, that shut down during this thing,” Shuttlesworth said. “If you’re putting out pamphlets and telling everybody to use Purell before they come into the sanctuary and don’t greet anyone, you should just turn in your ministry credentials and burn your church down — turn it into a casino or something,” he said on social media. “You’re a loser. Bunch of pansies. No balls. Got neutered somewhere along the line and don’t even realize it.”

The pastor also claims that coronavirus prevention is the work of the devil. “Let me tell you if the devil doesn’t want there to be mass gatherings — it’s time to hold mass gatherings. If I lived in Italy I would call an open-air crusade to pray for the sick. If you have to go to jail, go to jail.”

they're taking everyone else out with them,

they're really no different than a suicide bomber blowing himself up on a crowded bus.

you just love to hear from a preacher:

“You’re a loser. Bunch of pansies. No balls. Got neutered somewhere along the line and don’t even realize it.”

Let's not even begin to discuss how that would be yet another "banned" type of birth control - at least he's not blaming everything on the "rights of women!"

Right next to wherever they're going to congregate we should have mass graves dug in preparation. Let them congregate but quarantine them for 14 days afterward. Any that die, just push them in the hole.

Happy Easter, mfers.

Ought to adopt a new symbol for themselves: not the cross of the Nazarene, but the symbol for “Bio-hazard.”

saying, If you really are the Son of God, jump off! for scripture tells us 'He will command his angels to guard you; and they will lift you with their hands so you do not even dash your foot against a stone.' But Jesus replied, It also says: 'You must not test the Lord your God'

Capernaum is mentioned in Luke, right after that verse you quoted.

Capernaum review – an angry child lost in a world of pain

https://www.theguardian.com/film/2019/feb/24/capernaum-review-nadine-labaki-oscar-nominated-zain-al-rafeea

Nadine Labaki’s Oscar-nominated drama about Beirut’s illegal immigrants features a compelling central performance from young Syrian refugee Zain Al Rafeea

Life is dog shit. Filthier than the shoes on my feet… Life is hell, life is a bitch.” These are the cynical words of a cranky old man. Except, in Lebanese film-maker Nadine Labaki’s Cannes jury prize-winning, Oscar-nominated third feature, they’re not – they’re the embittered words of a world-weary child, a 12-year-old whose short life has been spent in the inferno’s embers. This hell is the cramped streets of Beirut, people and buildings stacked on top of each other, Labaki’s camera hovering overhead to capture a bird’s-eye view of the chaos below. Indeed, Capernaum translates roughly as “chaos”, though it’s also the name of the ancient Israeli city where Jesus performed miracles. Labaki’s choice of title seems coolly ironic given that there are no miracles here, just nightmares.

Zain (Zain Al Rafeea) doesn’t know precisely how old he is; there is no birth certificate, and he has never been registered with the state. What he does know is that he’s in juvenile prison because he “stabbed a sonofabitch”, and that he wants to sue his parents (played by Kawthar al Haddad and Fadi Kamel Youssef) for “being born”. The family earns a living smuggling opiates into the neighbouring prison, but at home there’s not enough space, not enough food, and certainly not enough money to go around. Barked at by his parents, Zain snaps back, shouting and swearing, his malnourished body pushed to extremes as he completes a seemingly endless string of tasks through the gritted teeth of someone seemingly much older.

Zain dotes on his 11-year-old sister Sahar (Haita “Cedra” Izam), who is at risk of being traded as a child bride to their landlord’s son, Assaad, as she approaches puberty. In one scene she snoozes peacefully next to her brother while he lies awake, physically and mentally drained. When she gets her first period, he fashions a temporary sanitary towel from his T-shirt; when he sees her dolled up in mascara and lipstick, he explodes with protective fury. Anticipating her capture, he attempts to save her from becoming “that pig’s maid”. If this sounds bad, things get worse. In a rare moment of relief, Zain finds solace in a tender-hearted, undocumented Ethiopian immigrant named Rahil (Yordanos Shifera) who recruits Zain as a makeshift babysitter for her adorable infant, Yonas (Boluwatife Treasure Bankole). Yet this solace is only temporary, as Rahil disappears and Zain is left to fend for the baby alone.

Rafeea, a non-professional actor and Syrian refugee, is the film’s secret weapon. At times, the tragedy unfolding on screen feels borderline unwatchable, but his strange, fascinating, eerily adult face offers a litany of minute expressions. There is a wisdom, a soulfulness, and an icy, angry candour that feels lived rather than performed. There’s also blackly funny humour: at one point, Rafeea improvises a voiceover for cartoons on a neighbour’s TV.

Christianity.

One of the silver linings may be that these people and their warped bastardization of the golden rule philosophy are consigned to the trash can of history.

Preferably along with the turd and the republican party, in its entirety.

Talk about a trifecta!!!
