Can they be used more than once? Is there a way to store them after use. Is there a way to sterilize them?

(26,259 posts)I've already decided that when I cash my tax return, I'm going to heat up my iron and 'hot press' the bills. Can't hurt, as long as I don't accidentally set them on fire!

(17,277 posts)The exception is I wanted to give the grocery delivery person an extra tip but didnt want to touch the bill I had recently gotten at the bank. So I carefully extracted the bill from the bank envelope with a tissue and sprayed it with Clorox spray. It dried pretty quickly. Then hopefully neither he nor I were exposed by the cash 💵

(26,259 posts)And I ALWAYS use cash to buy gasoline. I have absolutely no trust in those fuel pump card scanners.
Until recently, I've always been a cash only kind of person because it's easier to see what I'm spending. The kids finally convinced me to start using my credit card (which I pay off, every month), instead of cash because of the virus. My new credit card is one of those where you don't have to touch the card scanner - just slide the card in and out.

I enjoy the convenience, but now I also don't have to contact anything but my bagged items (which I reluctantly began doing myself lately) and I'm in and out of the store with minimal exposure. I am kinda twisted, so I have made it a game of sorts to see how quickly I can navigate the market (while maintaining a minimum 2-cart radius...not exactly 6 feet, but its a good visual cue for keeping distance) and pay and exit...yesterday I picked up lunchmeat, cheese, bread, bottled water, bananas, yogurt and milk and was in and out of the store in 8 minutes and 23 seconds...never got closer than I'd say 15 feet to another person except in passing at the doorway.
