American Airlines suspending most flights out of NYC area

American Airlines will suspend most of its flights to the New York area through May 6th. The airline will operate just 8 daily flights from LaGuardia, three from JFK, and two from Newark for a total of 13 daily flights. A year ago at this time, it operated 271 flights per day.

1. That sucks, but it's understandable.

American flies direct to almost anywhere from NY. It’s a major loss.

2. There are still airplanes flying? I live in the flight path for many planes that fly in

and out of Pittsburgh. I have only seen one plane in the last couple weeks and it was a C-130 military plane.
The last thing I would do today is get in an airplane.
