Seems like the new cases drop off over the weekend then pick back up at the beginning of the week

I’ve noticed it a couple times. I suppose it’s because some of the data submittals fall behind on weekends not that any fewer people are getting sick. Or maybe some clinics are closed on weekends.

Also the internet has been getting pretty slow lately. I assume it’s because so many people are spending a lot of time online

With a continuous stream of bad news, I hate to even bring this up, but they really are not testing still. I can’t imagine how high the numbers really are. I’m here on day 24 of isolation, so I don’t talk to many people, but in my very small town, 4 people have told me (over the phone or through glass) that they had all of the symptoms but were denied testing because they had not traveled to China. They were also told there were not enough tests, so the tests were being reserved for people with critical respiratory issues. We have staffed drive-in clinics in every county, but only one has tests, and they get 200 per day. They are only open for a few hours, closing when the last test in given. 😢
I flip-flop between rage and fear.
I live in Trumplandia, and some people are starting to see the man behind the curtain, and he’s losing their votes, but he knows he will never get EC votes from here, so he’s just going to let us rot.

It’s hard to say where we really are and we won’t know till/if we have wide spread testing. People can’t get tested; it’s just criminal. It’s hard to have a concerted response without good data. Instead we are relying on Dr Trump’s “feelings” and hunches.

That's the only thing that makes sense to me. I've noticed it, too.

Now, if testing suddenly rises because of availability, we'd probably see a lot more changes.

But these numbers are horribly inaccurate.

It's thought that it is because of covid-19.

That's why I think their numbers are so low.
