Those who still support Trump are not nice people. I no longer believe that there are any

exceptions to that.

If you still support Trump, it is inconceivable that you do so out of ignorance, which may have been true for some in 2016. I understand that not everyone is as immersed in politics as we are here on DU and I am willing to concede that some of the inattentive "low information" voters in that last election may have been genuinely unaware of the monstrous incompetence and moral bankruptcy of Trump. But, unless you have been comatose for these past three years, you can no longer credibly claim that excuse.

No, if you still wearing your MAGA cap, you are advertising your support and approval of transparent racism, misogyny and homophobia. You are saying that there is no value in science, no difference between fact and opinion and no reason to tell the truth unless it serves your interest better than a lie.

If your bumper sports a "Trump 2020" sticker, it is telling the world that you value wealth over integrity, you equate cruelty with strength and kindness with weakness.

You are not kind or honest. You are not generous or tolerant. You do not love or share or play well with others.

You are not nice.

No respect for others.

No consideration for others.

"My way or the highway" is their operative mode. All of them. Even those I initially thought were just misguided.

No, the naked compulsion to power over others underlies everything they do. With that, they can enable their greed.

Today, there's no excuse. There was no excuse in 2016, when so many checked the box for him after he mocked a disabled man, bashed a Gold Star family, incited violence against Latinxs and Muslims at his Nuremberg rallies, and bragged about you know what.

And now he's directly responsible for tens of thousands of deaths because he axed the fed's pandemic response system, and chose to sit on his ass instead of doing anything as the pandemic started to explode.

Anyone who still supports Trump today is truly a despicable piece of shit.

Nobody is forced to join the Republican Party to get a decent job or to avoid having their son sent off to the Eastern Front or to keep your business from being smashed up or seized.

The Republican Party isn't making party membership a requirement to be licensed as an Architect or Physician.

The Republican Party isn't forcing parents to sign their children up for the Trump Youth.

The Republican Party isn't forcing athletes to join in order to participate in professional sports.

More than a few of them know black people and/or latin people they genuinely consider friends.

I personally know someone whose closest family friend is gay, and yet I stood in that person's kitchen not too long ago and listened to them tell me that a Buttigieg presidency would be unthinkable because no one would respect us if they saw our president standing with his husband.

There are profound cognitive dissonance issues at work in these people, much of which is induced by conservative media.

He still works at 85 years old, and his 50 year-old daughter takes advantage of his kindness. She lost her home, and moved in with her mother and father, with her boyfriend (neither her or her boyfriend work—their 85 year old father pays the bills).

The daughter and her boyfriend are rude, hate rules, and act like 10-year-olds.

Right now, his daughter's boyfriend parked his truck in a handicap spot—no placard, and took his license plates off (front and back) so he couldn't be reported.

They are all Trump supporters. So yeah, I agree: Trump supporters are not nice people.

And BTW: none of them living there respect for the rules put forth regarding the virus. I wouldn't be surprised if they kill her parents with COVID-19.
