A surefire way to end Trump's BS at these daily virus pressers

Edited for grammar mistake

1 Direct all questions to the experts in the room and treat Trump like he's not even there. When Trump opens it up for questions and points to a reporter, that reporter should bypass Trump and say "Dr Fauci, I have a question for you...".

2 If Trump jumps in and tries to answer instead, repeat "I want to hear that from the doctor". Make it obvious that the press is there to hear only from experts and not the man child.

3 If there is a question about policy ask Pence directly instead of Trump. He's supposed to be running this anyway.

4 If Trump insists that questions go through him, don't raise hands

5 If Trump shuts it down because he can't run the show, so be it. It'll look bad on him. What's he going to do, have a fit that nobody's paying attention to him?

Asking Trump questions gets nothing done anyway. He either gives some gas lighting non- answer, or he starts a fight. The rest of the time he's congratulating himself.

Trump loves to be contentious with the press. It's red meat to his base and it feeds his fragile ego. It's all shtick, a big performance like the smack talk they do in big time wrestling. Take it away from him.

If anyone here knows anyone in the press please suggest this to them, maybe they'll consider it.

Thanks

The easiest thing would be for the media to just not show up - but that wouldn't happen, either.

us not to show up. Don't watch him.

I have been watching my state governor's pressers. I watch those from a nearby county, Winnebago County, as well. I know what we are doing statewide and regionally by doing this. They do not turn me into a screaming maniac and I actually learn something and feel a bit of hope for the future.

Don't Watch Trump! Turn off the TV!

It did not take long to realize that these were replacements for his rallies. In my area, the three networks are moving his blather to the sub channels, or telling people to watch them on Facebook. He was timing the "pressers" to co-opt the local and national news. We were supposed to get his version of events and nothing else. That did not go over well.

He was bragging about his ratings. That is when I started contacting all my friends and family members and telling them not to watch.

He comes on, click the remote. CNN first ignored him,I was praising them, then there he was! I went to a movie about Sheep herders.

Then back to my ebooks from the Library. I ran out of the real books so that is changing one of my habits. Not going to the grocery every couple of days is saving a lot of money!

It is a great idea, but they're going to continue directing their questions to him, because he's the "Resident." They treat him with respect and esteem, though he deserves neither.

A lot of them are there to further their careers, and don't want to risk creating an enemy in the most powerful person in the country. They want to continue gaining admittance to the daily Dog & Pony show.

I've long since given up hope the media will save us. They didn't save us during the Iraq War. They didn't save us with Drumpf's Impeachment. I am not going to hold my breath for 2 seconds that they will save us now.

There are no heroic reporters in that White House press corps that will stand up to Trump and go toe to toe with him. I think Yamiche came close, but got zero support from her colleagues in real time. The rest of them just want access like you mentioned, and aren't willing to risk anything for this country (or world for that matter). Got shit on by the president? Just sit there and eat a shit sandwich. Maybe make a strongly worded tweet later or make an aggrieved statement to an anchor later on. But they won't present a united front against this Orange Foolius' daily gaslighting of the American people.

Ask him if he still thinks this is a hoax like he claimed it was , and when did he decided it wasn't and why. Or ask him if incompetence is an impeachable offense, like he asked when President Obama was in office. Or if he has stocks or financial interest in the drug he now is pushing.
