Are We Almost Ready for a 2-Day Impeachment and Removal?

That's all the time it would take, if Trump goes too far over the line with COVID-19. One day for the House to impeach and the second day to remove him in the Senate.

How much are we willing to take from this misbegotten President, Congress? Have you not had enough? How many in your states are you willing for him to sacrifice for his greed and idiocy?

Two Days. That's all it will take. I suggest starting tomorrow.

It's past time. We might not be quite ready, but soon enough we will be.

Who wants Trump to kill us all off? Nobody.

There's a simple solution to that. Two days.

At their current partisan balance, they will never, ever, vote to acquit.

Jesus will return to Earth, wearing a top hat and singing "Ta-Ra-Ra-Boom-Dee-Ay" before the Senate acquits Trump.

wakes up, including enough Senators from affected states. But such a limit on the number of deaths does exist.

I'd rather see the 2-Day impeachment and removal happen sooner than later, though.

a family member dies a horrible death and they want to get even. Or, Trump's fans are visibly disenfranchised and they want to dump the loser.

You never know what may happen. "We can't win" is never a good reason for doing nothing. Hell, Impeachment No. 1 was just practice.

Time for Impeachment No. 2.

Haven’t we been through enough? Why ya wanna raise our hopes of being rid of the monster??

Now, mind you, he needs to go. He never shoulda been in the White House. But alas. The same jackasses who gave him a get out of jail free card are still in place. So even if the House pulled off another impeachment, those fools in the Senate would just let us down again.

Sigh......but it was a nice thought.

The GOP is complicit in Trump's response. There's no way they're going to throw themselves under the bus along with him.

Many seem to forget that those red-staters don't believe that Trump is at fault in any way, even when people start dying. Their "sources" tell them it's all the fault of the Democrats or China or whoever is the blame du jour.

They're not going to pressure their representatives in Congress to remove Trump because they don't even understand that Trump is the problem.

but the timing just isn't quite right. We need to just be patient and vote the asshole out in a landslide in Nov. Barring that, impeachment in January, criminal trials by Easter, Conviction by the 4th of July, and busting rocks in Leavenworth by Christmas. The following year could be a Nuremberg-like trial to deal with the rest of the criminal gang.

Now that would be a couple of years to remember.

except that none of them are going to jail. And I doubt that anyone will be up for impeachment after the inauguration.

I think that we should offer him an incredible sum of money (does the word trillion come to mind?) to quit. I'd pay him a billion dollars to resign and take Pence and McConnell with him.

Seriously, Nancy needs to make him an offer. All countries are weakened now; there is no way he's going to become Dear Leader of the World. His businesses are failing (or going to.) The House can draft a proposal and then walk it over to the Senate. If he doesn't quit, walk over more Impeachment papers.

There is nothing I can think of to prevent us from buying him off. And, he doesn't get to keep all the PPEs we need.

He's a horrible businessman. It could work in our favor. Think of it: we offer a billion bucks to the Repubs to dump Trump, Pence and McConnell and we get Pelosi until November. It isn't dishonest. We can fix the holes in the Constitution that allowed this to happen.

We'll get Biden and our first female VP.

Make it happen, Nancy.

Our government is an equal portion USA (Democrats) and Russia (Republicans), with Russians having been installed in strategic positions, such as the Oval Office, Senate, House, and courts from District to Supreme. We can act, they will block, forever + an eternity.

I used to be an optimist. These days I believe the worst and even that doesn't adequately account for the pure greed and evil inherent in our once-manageable government.

It is up to Republican voters.

When they are silent and supportive of the Republican leadership in Congress, they are playing the cards that were dealt them, a busted inside straight flush. They can't beat a pair of deuces, yet they cling to their busted flush.

Sadly, they are taking the country down with them.

This generation is simply cares less about covering their tracks when they commit crimes...they believe they own the courts and can do whatever they want.

They are only proxies. That's the fight they want. The only thing that will change this situation is for non-delusional Americans to confront their Kool-Aid drinking neigbors and demand they change their behavior.

It simply isn't going to happen. The same GOP Senators who voted to acquit will surely do so again, they're already on the hook. And we'd be left with Pence, whose ass-kissing of Trump shows that he's really not much better.

The election is less than seven months away, and while time seems to have slowed to a crawl, it will get here. It is the only surefire way to extricate the United States from the catastrophe that has come to pass.
