I've been thinking about it. There has been a lot of talk about Revolution among Democrats and the Democratic Left.
I think that the virus IS the Revolution. Now is the moment that, with leadership from Democrats, Revolutionary change can be achieved.

The GOP is on it's way to the trash heap.

They're not so hot on revolution. Their hearts might be in the right place, but all the hogs in Washington are feeding at the same trough. They're too afraid to lose their jobs, and the folks feeding them are the boss.

That is why I was so pulling for Elizabeth Warren. She knew how to deal with all that and still let them keep their jobs.

So glad that we could help him with his bucket list, but where is he now. Where are his billions now that NY needs supplies and vents?

Bloomberg scraps plan to create own PAC, donates $18 million to DNC

Mar 20, 2020

Mike Bloomberg's 2020 campaign announced Friday that he would scrap his plan to create his own PAC — which would utilize his campaign infrastructure and staff to support the Democratic nominee — and will instead donate $18 million to the DNC.

Why it matters: It's a significant reneging of a key promise from the New York billionaire, who pledged to continue to pay his campaign staff at least through November to back whoever was selected to take on President Trump.

<snip>

"While we considered creating our own independent entity to support the nominee and hold the President accountable, this race is too important to have many competing groups with good intentions but that are not coordinated and united in strategy and execution. The dynamics of the race have also fundamentally changed, and it is critically important that we all do everything we can to support our eventual nominee and scale the Democratic Party’s general election efforts.

"We therefore believe the best thing we can all do over the next eight months is to help the group that matters most in this fight: the Democratic National Committee."

The state of play: The Bloomberg campaign said the $18 million would hopefully be used to expand the DNC's effort "across battleground states, drawing in part from our own incredibly experienced and talented organizing staff."

neither Warren nor Sanders would be the candidate, his interest waned.

This statement isn't meant to be divisive, just an observation.

He invested a few hundred million to block Warren or Sanders thereby avoiding taxes of many billions if e.g. a wealth tax had been enacted. Pretty good return on investment.

Which is kind of what they are today. They've been demolished in CA and everywhere west of the Cascades. There's only one Republican Congress critter in all of New England. NY has only a handful upstate and out west. Dems took the governors mansion in KY, damn near did in GA and came close to knocking off a veteran TX senator. NC and AZ are purple for all practical purposes. Never thought I'd live to see AZ go purple.

There will be a terrible price for all the indifference and unwillingness to do what was necessary to stop it. The rethugs own it. They put all their money on it being a minor annoyance. And lost badly. They will be required to pay with their jobs.
